Annaatthe: Superstar Rajinikanth to finish shooting for his next by 10th May
Amidst the lockdown, the shooting of only one film that is continuing is Superstar Rajinikanth's Annaatthe at the Ramoji Rao Film City in Hyderabad.
The surge in Covid cases has forced many filmmakers to reshuffle their film's release date and also brought some of the big-budget films shoots to a halt. However, only one film that continued the shoot is Annaatthe starring Thalaiva. The team had resumed the shoot on 10th April in Hyderabad and was recently joined by actress Nayantara, who joined the cast for the final schedule. . It is said that the actress will essay the role of a lawyer and the team is working in full swing to complete her portion.
Superstar Rajinikanth who has been shooting for a couple of weeks now is said to have given his dates to complete the shoot. As per reports he has given his call sheet till the 10th of May. Given the situation, the actor is determined to finish his entire portions by the said date. Currently, the team is shooting Nayantara and Thalaiva's portion of the film.
Since eight crew members had tested positive for COVID-19 on the sets of Annaatthe, Rajinikanth's health has been the major source of concern. However, the team has made sure to follow extreme caution around the actor. As per the source, the team's aim is to safeguard the superstar and complete his portions and then safely bring him back to Chennai in a private jet.
The film is directed by Siruthai Siva and also features Keerthy Suresh, Khushbu, Meena, Jackie Shroff, Soori, Prakash Raj, and Jagapathy Babu. It is slated to release worldwide on Diwali this year.
